Youth and the dangers of using opioids was the main focus of KFL&A Public Health's opioid information session at NDSS Monday night. Samantha Buttemer says most youth are getting opioids from home:


She says fentanyl is in the area and it's being disguised as other forms of opioids:


Signs of an overdose are unresponsiveness, shallow or infrequent breathing, blue lips, blue fingernails and very small pupils. Right now people are being encouraged to pick up Naloxone kits, which will combat an overdose long enough to seek medical help.
