RISING HYDRO RATES THREATENING AREA BUSINESSES

MPP for Hastings-Prince Edward Todd Smith says rising electricity costs could lead to job loss. Smith says businesses across the province are dealing with the same hydro concerns. The PC Energy Critic says he continues to hear the struggles of how residential and business customers can't afford the increases:


The minimum wage - now at $11.60 - could rise to $14 in 2018 and to $15 by 2019, if the government's proposed changes go through.
