TRANSPORT DRIVER CHARGED AFTER 401 CLOSED FOR HOURSA careless driving charge for the transport driver involved in Saturday's collision on the 401 that left the busy highway closed for 9 hours. Around 5:30 Saturday morning the transport hit the centre median in the westbound lane just east of Napanee and began leaking fluid that was identified as non toxic. The driver was assessed at the scene by paramedics and was given a roadside screening assessment. The Quebec man registered an ALERT on the device. The 35-year-old is charged with Carless Driving and his licence suspended.
