FUNDING SHORTFALL PUTTING KIDS DENTAL HEALTH AT RISK

The Ontario Dental Association has launched an awareness campaign to help Ontarians understand the dangerous funding gap in public dental care. Dr. Jerry Smith, HSO-participating dentist and former ODA president says this wasn't a problem not that long ago:


He says that now reimbursement rates are well below the national average:


The ODA is hoping the Government will step up and bump coverage back to where it used to be:


The ODA says close to 300,000 children in need of dental care aren't getting it and dental pain is the second-most common reason kids miss school.
