Fundraising efforts for the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation have gone above and beyond their goal. They had been raising money for priority medical equipment with a goal of about 320,000 dollars. Through their hard work, staff say they were able to bring in $341,000 during the Picture of Health and Re-Imagine campaigns; $22,000 dollars more than their goal. They were able to purchase a replacement colonoscope and two gastroscopes, a picture archiving system for the Endoscopy Department and updated heart monitoring equipment for the emergency department. $170,000 was also went towards the 1-million dollar price tag to upgrade the MRI machine at Belleville General Hospital. The additional $22-thousand dollars will go straight into the 2018/19 campaign coffers.
