The Greater Napanee FireFit Team took part in the 2019 National FireFit Championships last week in Oshawa. 6 of our local firefighters competed in the individual, team relay and X3 tandem relay events with 5 moving onto the finals. Individual results were Joe Thompson with a personal best time of 1:37. Dan Chalk at 1:46. Daly Chadwick with 1:57. Robert Howe at 2:07. Kevin Duncan with 2:12 and Chris Craig-Walker with 2:15. The team relay of Chalk, Thompson, Duncan, Chadwick and Howe ran a personal best 1:23. The X3 Tandem Relay of Chalk and Thompson ran a personal best 1:41. The team placed second for their top 3 times earning them a silver medal in the Volunteer category.
