The decommissioning of the White Pines Wind Farm will begin next month. The first phase of the work involves a crane arriving on site and lowering the towers to the ground; running between October 15 and January 31 2020. The road users agreement between the County of Prince Edward and wpd White Pines Wind remains in effect. Should any road closures be required for the delivery of the crane, the municipality will notify the public. The second phase of decommissioning, which is anticipated to begin in April 2020, will involve the removal and remediation of infrastructure installed for the project.
