Local United Way campaigns are nearing their fundraising goals. The United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (KFL&A) has raised over $2.17-million of the $3.55-million goal. Locally upwards of 50,000 people have been helped by services and programs supported by the United Way of KFL&A. The campaign wraps up on November 28th and so far over 60% has been raised. The United Way of Hastings & Prince Edward (HPE) has raised more than half a million dollars towards their campaign goal. Executive Director Brandi Hodge says they still have a long way to go to reach their goal of $1.97-million. Hodge says in Hastings & Prince Edward counties the United Way supports 1 in 4 people through over 65 programs. Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so in person by contacting the local offices or online. Donate to the United Way of KFL&A here or you can donate to the United Way of HPE here.
