Police have charged a 25 year old Picton male with arson. Prince Edward County OPP say Wednesday was fairly busy, as they responded to 24 calls.
They varied in nature, however one of the calls resulted in officers laying charges. Just after 3:00 p.m. officers were called to an address on County Road 10 in Picton where an individual was causing damage. The male reportedly lit a rug on fire before leaving on foot. As a result of the investigation, a 25 year old male from Picton, was charged with mischief under $5000, unlawfully in a dwelling and arson.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Court of Justice at a later date in Picton.
