OPP have charged a 42-year-old man from Ottawa with various charges including possession of cocaine. On Friday at 2 a.m. an officer with Lennox and Addington OPP was on patrol and conducted a traffic stop after it was reported that the driver was observed travelling at a high rate of speed in the Greater Napanee area. Jason Edward Derochie was charged with possession of a scheduled substance, stunt driving, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and driving while under suspension. The accused driver’s vehicle was towed and is impounded for a week. He faces a seven-day licence suspension and is scheduled to appear in court in June.
