Community Builders is brought to you by Timʼs Truck and Equipment Services. Marg Baldwin has always been heavily involved in the community. In the past she was the President of the retired women teachers of Ontario- Napanee branch, she also sat on the board of SOS (Seniors Outreach) for 10 years and then continued on assisting the organization with fundraising, she worked with the organization until it closed down and became VON. Since retiring she has been volunteering with Hospice Lennox and Addington.
She started volunteering with Hospice when a close teaching friend told her she would be a good fit. She decided to take the training and has been there since 2001.
Marg says she loves this area because there are so many caring and giving individuals here. When asked about a challenge that she has faced during her time as a volunteer, she says that it is sometime difficult to fundraise for a nonprofit.
She says she is so proud of the growth that Hospice Lennox and Addington has seen even since when she first started with them and is happy that they continue to increase the services that they are able to provide to people in the region.
