A full burn ban is now in place for Prince Edward County. Due to high winds and dry conditions, Fire Chief Scott Manlow has issued a total burn ban. A total burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning, including brushfire, campfires, and burn barrels. The Fire Chief evaluates weather and ground conditions to determine the necessity of a burn ban. When conditions improve, the ban will be updated.
