Town of Deseronto Council passed a motion to ensure the ice surface is put in at the Community Centre. At last night’s council meeting, the Deputy Mayor placed a motion on the table to have the arena operational as of November 14. The motion did include several conditions; ensuring there are enough casual staff in place to implement COVID-19 policy and procedure; staff make a plan to accommodate some form of public skating and lastly that council do monthly reviews to ensure the safety of not only the staff, but also the community is adhered to. The motion was passed unanimously.
