The Town of Greater Napanee wants to make motorists aware that there will soon be a crossing guard manning the pedestrian crosswalk in front of Southview Public School. Beginning on Monday, the crossing guard will be present on school days between 8:40 a.m. to 9:10 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. to assist students crossing County Road 8 on their way to and from school.
Failure to stop for a Crossing Guard or at a Pedestrian Crossover when lights are activated and pedestrians are present, can result in fines.
