Today is Excellent Educators Day, brought to you by Loyalist College.
It’s an exclusive look into the lives of some of the region’s best and brightest educators, including Jared Storms.
He’s been a teacher at St. Paul’s Secondary School in Trenton since 2007, a school in the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.
Storms currently teachers English and physical education for Grades 9-12 and says he enjoys teaching, since every day is a new experience and a chance to help inspire students, adding that several of his family members have also worked in education.
As a physical education teacher, Storms says he enjoys teaching his students the importance of healthy living, sports, exercise and staying active each day. He adds that teaching English also allows him to help his students discover new books and reading materials that they might not have discovered outside of the classroom.
