Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Derek Sloan and Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston MPP Randy Hillier are among several being charged after attending a large service in Aylmer, Ont., at the Church of God.
Both Sloan and Hillier appeared in a video of the service, live streamed to the church’s facebook page Sunday, April 25, 2021.
If found guilty, Sloan and Hillier could be ordered to pay up to $100,000 or spend up to a year in jail.
Local police say over 100 people were in attendance.
myFM spoke with Derek Sloan, who says he had not yet received his summons. He also had these comments to make in regard to the charges,
