The Napanee Raiders are the Tod Division Champions after a hard fought series with the Amherstview Jets.
myFM spoke with head coach Ben Hagerman, who told us about how the team was feeling heading into game seven Sunday night.
He then went on to gave a shoutout to Napanee Goalie Bailey Maracle who made numerous incredible saves during the game.
Hagerman also shared with us his feelings after the overtime winner.
The Jets defeated the Raiders four times in regular season play, after the Raiders beat them twice. Hagerman said heading into this series they weren’t sure how things would go.
Now preparing for the Eastern Championships, Hagerman says they are starting to learn more about their new opponents Clarington, who they have never played before.
The team is very thankful for their fans, who have been very supportive. Hagerman noted as well how loud they were during game seven in Amherstview.
The Raiders begin their series with Clarington this Thursday in Clarington at 7:20pm. The remainder of their schedule is as follows:
