Progressive conservative Candidate Ric Bresee has officially been elected Member of Provincial Parliament for Hastings-Lennox and Addington. Bresee lead the polls with over 47.6 percent of the votes.
Bresee has served on the Loyalist Township Municipal Council for 22 years, being re-elected five times and serving as councillor, deputy mayor and mayor.
myFM caught up with Bresee after news broke that he was elected MPP for H-L&A. He says the news of his new title is still soaking in.
Bresee was in attendance of an election night party at Loyalist Golf & Country Club in Bath, where he is receiving much congratulations and is expressing gratitude.
We asked Bresee what he is now looking forward to as MPP.

New Democrat candidate had 19 percent voter support, Liberal Ted Darby had 18.5 percent, Ontario Party’s Derek Sloan had seven point four percent, Green candidate Christina Wilson had four point six percent and New Blue Party’s Joyce Reid had three percent.
Roughly 47 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in the 2022 provincial election in Hastings-Lennox and Addington.
