An international contingent of Lions Club runners was in Odessa yesterday as part of the Lions Charity Run.
The Lions Charity Run is a 1,026 kilometre running journey which departed from Lions International Headquarters in Oak Brook, Illinois on June 17.
The runners, from Ukraine, Poland and Germany, are raising funds to support children affected by the war in Ukraine. Their goal is to raise $100,000.
After their stop in Odessa the runners continued to Kingston where they spent the night before heading to Ottawa today. The run will be completed once they reach Montreal on Saturday.
