The auditorium of Picton’s Regent Theatre is being restored.
The theatre will be closed from March 27 to April 14th, for the work to take place.
A published report says water damage to the floor of the auditorium must be repaired. The seats will also be replaced.
Individual, private and business donations have contributed tens of thousands of dollars to covering the cost of the project estimated at nearly $55,000.
Because the Regent is a heritage building the theatre’s board says it is duty-bound to maintain the building.
