The Town of Greater Napanee is currently reviewing and updating its noise by-law.
myFM spoke with Mayor Terry Richardson, who says if they have any policies or by-law’s that need to be spruced up, they’re working on making those updates.
The noise by-law saw its last amendment in 2005. The municipality aims to balance the expectation of businesses and residents, in addition to the enforceability of noise regulations through a new by-law.
Staff are proposing specific time and days when certain noises are not allowed to be generated.
Town staff heard feedback from the community throughout March and will now provide council with a report at their April 11th meeting.
