Conditions are improving around the local watershed despite some high water levels.
Cataraqui Conservation has downgraded their Flood Watch to a Water Safety Statement for the Gananoque River System and Cataraqui Watershed.
Officials say levels have crested but waterbodies are still not safe for recreational use.
You are being encouraged to stay back from shorelines and creek banks as they may be slippery and use caution around fast flowing water courses.
The statement remains in effect until May 17th at 11:59pm.
