Lennox and Addington County Paramedic Services is excited to announce a three-year partnership with Medavie Health Services to manage paramedic services.
L&A County Warden Henry Hogg expressed pride in the paramedics’ service to residents, viewing this partnership as an opportunity to stay at the forefront of safety and care for the communities they serve.
The collaboration aims to uphold a commitment to delivering top-tier paramedic services, enhancing service delivery models such as the community paramedicine program.
During the partnership, Lennox and Addington County Paramedic Services will maintain its role in delivering high-quality emergency medical and paramedic services to residents. All unionized paramedics and paramedic managers will remain County employees but will be managed by Medavie Health Services, following the established collective agreement(s) and County policies and procedures.
The transition took place November 8, 2023, with no interruption in service. Patients in need of paramedic support should continue to call 911.
