Is your teddy bear feeling a bit deflated and maybe showing signs of wear and tear that could use some attention?
Bring your beloved teddy to the 10th annual Teddy Bear Hospital on February 19th, from 9 am to 4 pm, at the Museum of Health Care in Kingston for a check-up and some TLC.
myFM spoke with Claire Notman, Communications and Programming Co-Ordinator, who told us more about this event.
There will be specially trained doctors and nurses on hand who will help guide the kids as they provide medical care for their own stuffed toy.
This event aims to help children overcome any fears they may have about seeing a healthcare provider, improve health literacy and promote health and wellbeing.
This year’s event is by appointment only and admission cost is by donation. Walk-in’s will be accepted depending on the capacity at the time.
To learn more or to register, visit the Museum of Health Care’s website.
