Sunday, February 11th, was 211 Day, and United Way KFL&A celebrated by promoting this free and confidential service.
211 is a helpline available 24/7 by phone, chat, or online search, offering information and referrals in over 150 languages.
Introduced in Kingston and surrounding areas in 2010, 2-1-1 helps residents connect with social, health, and government services.
John DiPaolo, President and CEO of United Way KFL&A, highlighted its importance in assisting people during challenging times. Unlike search engines, 211 provides personalized solutions through trained Community Navigators.
Residents through KFL&A are urged to make the right call if they want or need non-emergency help by dialing 2-1-1 or visiting www.211ontario.ca.
