Environment Canada says lake effect snow squalls will continue today (Sunday) before moving south of the area this evening.
In addition, southwesterly winds gusting up to 80 km/h will accompany these snow squalls resulting in significantly reduced visibility in blowing snow.
Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
The government weather agency asks that we prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
