Over the weekend, the Lennox and Addington County OPP charged two drivers with impaired driving.
On March 8 around 3:00 p.m., L&A OPP officers were alerted to a suspected impaired driver at a construction site on Oakmont Drive in Bath. They arrested the driver, 24-year-old Dawson Robertson of Kingston, for impaired driving.
Then on March 10 around 5:00 a.m., officers responded to a collision on Fitchett Road near County Road 9. They found two individuals with minor injuries standing on the road, and the vehicle had crashed into trees in a ditch. The driver, 18-year-old Gavin Brooks of Greater Napanee, was arrested for impaired driving.
They both face charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, as well as driving with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
Both accused were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court in Greater Napanee on April 2, 2024. Both had their license suspended for 90 days, and vehicles impounded for seven days.
