Residents of Prince Edward County are welcome to put their used household batteries out for disposal at the curb until March 22nd.
Make sure to place them out on your regular recycling collection days.
To dispose of the batteries, cover the exposed terminals of 9V, 6V, and button cells with masking tape. Alkaline batteries don’t need to be taped. Put all the batteries inside a clear re-sealable bag, seal it, and then place it on top of your papers blue box.
You can also drop off batteries at the Quinte Waste Solutions Household Hazardous & Electronic Waste Depot in Belleville during their seasonal operating hours.
