Greater Napanee Town Council passed a by-law last night to adopt the 2024 Municipal Budget
The budget sees an Average Residential Tax Rate Increase of 6.68%.
The total 2024 budget of $22 million dollars provides funds to support local services such as road maintenance, policing, recreational programs, fire services, general governance and more.
The town raises $15.22 million of its total budget from property taxes. The rest comes from Federal and Provincial support, grants, user fees, and contributions from reserves. In 2024, the property tax levy will go up by 7.88%, or $1.11 million, compared to 2023.
Stay tuned for more with Napanee Mayor Terry Richardson later this week, where we’ll dive deeper into the budget details.
