To help prepare the community for the total solar eclipse on April 8th, the Lennox and Addington Libraries are hosting a number of educational events.
myFM spoke with Kate Wilson, Library Programming & Outreach Coordinator, to learn more.
Eclipse 101 will discuss the upcoming eclipse and how to view it safely. This program is suitable for all ages.
The library is also hosting a few in-person workshops, also suitable for all ages. It’s called Engage with the Eclipse.
Then day of, the library will be holding an Eclipse Extravaganza!
Registration is required in advance for all workshops. You can do so by visiting landalibraries.as.me.
There will also be a limited number of certified eclipse glasses available at all library branches starting April 2nd for all library card holders.
