Enright Cattle Company, a fourth-generation family-owned farm, is dedicated to sustainability. While their primary focus is beef production, they also produce soap from fat and create leather goods from hides.
Co-owner Kara Enright grew up around cows, both dairy and beef. Kara and her husband Daryl bought their current farm after university and have continued to grow their herd.
Determination and passion are two traits that have helped them to become successful. The pair both love working on the farm and in agriculture in general.
Kara says technology has grown to become part of everyday life in agriculture, from their traceability system that electronically tracks all major events in each animals life. There’s even such high tech that making its way into farms now that you can program equipment to nearly do your job for you.
