Things on the farm first got underway in 1764, meaning they’re now a nine-generation farm. Bothers Ivan and Daniel grew up on the farm. They worked off farm briefly before returning to take it over. From there, in 2012 construction began on a new addition to the farm. A brewery.
When adding the brewery aspect, Ivan shared that there was a lot of tradition and history on the farm he felt was important to keep going. He shared that the brewery was their own way to add diversity and put a new spin on it.
Technology is a big help both on the farm and in the brewery. Ivan says farm wise they benefit from the many studies on new varieties and wheat control for example. On the brewery side, Ivan says they’re a little more cutting edge with technology, as they investigate a palletizing robot to stack the finish cases of beer on the pallets.
