It’s Local Manufacturing Week presented by the Napanee Co-operators. Today we are profiling Yolanda Madarnas.
Yolanda has been with the Bath Artisans for two years now. The group, founded in 1991, is made up mostly by painters, but feature a wide array of artistic mediums including mixed media, photographers, glass artists, fiber artists, sculptors and more.
The group gets together weekly on Monday’s at the St. John’s Community Centre in Bath. They hold at least two annual member show-and-sale events, one in the spring and one in the fall, along with other shows and activities throughout the year.
The initial founder of the Bath Artisans has a mission to create a space that would promote interaction among artists of different types and encourage them to share knowledge, to enjoy doing something interesting together, but also teach and mentor each other through meetings and workshops.
