Instructor Bio: Hi, my name is Tanya and I am a mom of 3 who have many knitted/crochet hats, mitts, scarves and vests!! I started my career in Graphic Design and was a photographer for many years. I have always been artistic and interested in trying new mediums and styles from drawing and painting to playing instruments and photography. My mom taught me the basics of knitting when I was around 10 and I rekindled my love for this art form after I had my kids. I then switched to crochet as it is more conducive to work on and take with you anywhere. There is something very satisfying and relaxing when making something with your hands that I love. It brings me great joy to constantly challenge myself with new and more difficult projects. Event webpage and where to register: https://countymuseum.ca/event/crochet-baby-blanket/

PA Day: Create your Own Clay Dog
97 Thomas Street East, Napanee
At this workshop you will learn how to design and sculpt your very own dog out of foam clay. No sculpting experience required! All materials will be provided including sculpting tools and coloured clay. Foam clay is an excellent air dry and mess free clay that is soft and easy to manipulate for little hands. It has been used extensively in the cosplay world, and it is praised for its very light weight and ease of use. It comes in a large array of colours and is fun for everyone. By squeezing, squishing and pulling the clay we will experiment with different shapes, forms and textures. Everyone will be encouraged to create a dog based on their own pet or from their imagination. Each child will leave with a fun and unique dog of their very own. Let your creativity flow and come enjoy a day of crafting with friends!
