The Napanee Raiders hit the road Sunday afternoon to play the Trent Hills Thunder, who are 2-8-2 on the season.
The Thunder opened the scoring early, less than a minute into the game. The Raiders then scored 5 unanswered goals by Connor Brooks, Andrew Carr, Erik MacNiel, and two by Trent Williams. Then two minutes into the second period the Thunder scored their second of the night. The period then came to a scary end when the Trent Hills net fell on their goalie, Glenn McInnes, who was taken away in an ambulance. The remaining 5 minutes and 12 seconds was then added to the third period. As they played the remaining minutes of the second period, Adam Nuttall scored the Raiders 6th goal of the night. Third period began with the Thunder scoring their third of the night. The Raiders went on to score four more goals by Michael Patrick, Isaac Brown, Adam Nuttal and Jayden Holden for a 10-3 Raiders win.
The Napanee Raiders are in second place in the East Tod Division standings with an 9-2 record and 18 points.
The Raiders are back in action this Friday, November 1 when they host Lakefield at 7:30pm. They’re then on the road Saturday, November 2 to play North Kawartha.
