Lennox and Addington County OPP charged two individuals with impaired driving in separate incidents over the weekend.
On Saturday, November 16, 2024, around 5:00 PM, police responded to reports of a vehicle failing to stop at multiple stop signs and speeding into a local business drive-thru. Obaidullah Yousofi, 31, from Toronto, was charged with two counts of impaired driving.
On Sunday, November 17, 2024, just before 7:00 PM, a two-vehicle collision occurred on County Road 41 in Greater Napanee. No injuries were reported. Richard Stanley, 38, from Roblin, was charged with impaired driving and careless driving.
Both drivers were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in court on December 12, 2024, in Greater Napanee. Their driver’s licences were suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles were impounded.
