Lennox and Addington County OPP stopped a speeding vehicle on Highway 401 near Greater Napanee early Thursday morning, November 28, 2024. The car was clocked traveling nearly 40 km/h over the 110 km/h speed limit at around 5:00 a.m.
The driver, Ramadan Abdullahi, a 26-year-old from Maple, now faces several charges. These include failure to comply with a release order, driving while under suspension, speeding, and failing to provide both a vehicle permit and an insurance card.
Due to the severity of the offences and a breach of a release order, Abdullahi was held in custody for a bail hearing in Napanee later today.
