School transportation in Tri-Board’s western weather zones is cancelled today due to snow and drifting snow conditions. The affected areas include North and Centre Hastings, Belleville Quinte West, and Prince Edward County.
Tri-Board explains that bus cancellations are determined based on whether a school or bus stop is located in a specific weather zone. Additional cancellations in other zones may occur depending on local weather conditions.
Although buses are not running, schools in the affected areas remain open. Parents and guardians who choose to drive their children to school are reminded that they must arrange for their pickup at the end of the school day.
Tri-Board encourages families to monitor its website and social media channels for updates on transportation services. The safety of students and staff remains the top priority as the region navigates challenging weather conditions. Drivers are urged to exercise caution on snow-covered and slippery roads.
