
A 41-year-old man is facing multiple charges, including four counts of attempted murder, after a confrontation with Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Stone Mills Township.
Officers from the Lennox and Addington County OPP and the Emergency Response Team responded to a disturbance at a home on Lennox and Addington County Road 4 around 5 p.m. on January 17, 2025.
Police say they tried to communicate with a man inside the residence. When he exited, officers discharged an Anti-Riot Weapon Enfield (ARWEN) and firearms. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Dustin Yeomans, 41, was arrested on February 25 and is also charged with uttering threats and weapons offences. He remains in custody, with a bail hearing scheduled in Greater Napanee.
The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has invoked its mandate and is investigating the incident.
