Hastings – Lennox and Addington incumbent MPP Ric Bresee of the Ontario PC’s has been re-elected in the 2025 provincial election.
He will be returning to Queen’s Park for his second term, first being elected in 2022. Bresee received almost 2000 more votes compared to the last election in 2022.
Bresee told myFM it’s completely humbling to have the H-L&A Community once again elect him to represent the riding. He’s looking forward to continuing to listen to the community.
The MPP shared one of the things he learned through this election is that while there have been some successes in healthcare in the riding, we need to share those successes more.
Though it was a short election period, Bresee said for himself and his team, it meant “we knew what we had to do, and we knew we just had to go get it done.”
Ric Bresee of the PC’s was elected with 48.4% of the votes. He was followed by Liberal Lynn Rigby with 29.6%, NDP Jessica Zielke with 11.4%, Ontario Party Leader Derek Sloan with 5.7%, Green Mike Holbrook with 3.2%, and New Blue Glenn Tyrrell with 1.6%.
We will have more with Bresee in the coming days.
