Community Tree Program - 2
Loyalist Township is launching a Community Tree Initiative to promote a greener future. Starting March 26, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., residents can purchase a tree for just $25—far below the regular $165-$175 price.
The pilot program offers 125 trees to Loyalist Township property owners on a first-come, first-served basis. It is funded by a $15,000 grant through the Community Grants program, covering most costs while residents pay a small portion.
This initiative aims to increase the Township’s tree canopy, support climate action goals, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Once the pilot is complete, feedback will determine future programs.
Interested residents are encouraged to act quickly, as demand is expected to be high. Township staff will follow up with successful buyers to provide pick-up details and planting guidelines.
