Loyalist Township has completed a major study to plan for the future of Amherstview West, outlining new housing, transportation, and community services.
The Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) Study looks at how the area will grow until 2046. It covers housing types, urban design, community amenities, environmental protection, servicing, stormwater management, and transportation, including walking and cycling routes.
A preferred land use plan has been created to support future development. Residents can view the Notice of Completion and key map on Engage Loyalist.
The township is inviting the public to share feedback. Written comments must be submitted by April 17, 2025.
