A great start to the East Tod Division Finals for the Napanee Raiders walking away victors of game 1!
In game 1 on Saturday in Frankford, the Raiders struck first, with Trent Williams scoring with less than 2-minutes remaining in the first period. Napanee’s Ben White scored first in the second period to solidify the Raiders lead. But Frankford quickly answered that with their first goal of the night for a 2-1 Raiders lead. With 19 seconds left in the third period, Erik MacNiel scored on the empty net for a 3-1 Raiders win!
In game 2 Sunday evening in Napanee, the Raiders were up 1-0 at the end of the first thanks to a goal by Andrew Carr. Second period saw Frankford score twice to tie the game then take a 2-1 lead. The Huskies scored twice more in the third period for a 4-1 final Frankford win.
The Raiders are 9-3 so far in the playoffs and are tied in this series 1-1. The winner of this series will move on to play the winner of the East Orr Division Final. Looking to that series, the Clarington Eagles lead the Georgina Ice 3-0.
