
Two people are facing impaired driving charges after separate collisions in Lennox and Addington County within four hours.
Shortly after noon on Thursday, March 20, Ontario Provincial Police responded to a crash on Melrose Road in Tyendinaga Township. Officers found the vehicle nearby and arrested 34-year-old Taylor Thorne of Tyendinaga Township. Thorne was charged with impaired driving and having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in their system.
Just after 4 p.m., police were called to Newburgh, where a damaged vehicle was found in a driveway. Following an investigation, officers arrested 63-year-old Patricia Stone of Newburgh. Stone was charged with impaired driving, having over 80 milligrams of alcohol in their system, and failing to stop after an accident.
Both drivers were released and are scheduled to appear in court in Greater Napanee on April 15. Their licences were suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles were impounded
