Strong winds could cause more damage in Greater Napanee today as the region recovers from a major ice storm.
Environment Canada says southwest winds will gust up to 50 km/h this morning and afternoon, followed by northwest winds up to 40 km/h this evening. These winds could bring down more trees and power lines, adding to the damage already caused by 10 to 25 mm of ice that coated the area.
Although temperatures have risen above freezing and some ice has melted, the risk remains high for further impacts.
Residents are urged to stay cautious and report any hazardous conditions. The weather statement remains in effect until this evening.
