Despite the blast of winter we just experienced… Spring has arrived in Greater Napanee, bringing with it the much-anticipated Communities in Bloom Garden Expo on April 5.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Best and Bash Arena, the event will feature a garden-themed show and sale, as well as a series of informative talks.
The expo will host about 40 vendors, including local greenhouses, flower growers, and seed sellers, offering plants, flowers, and garden art. Local community groups such as the Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority and Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre will also be in attendance.
Expert speakers from the Lennox and Addington Horticultural Society, Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority, and Janssens Orchards will discuss topics like invasive plant eradication and apple tree pruning.
Communities in Bloom (CIB) is a non-profit organization that promotes civic pride and environmental stewardship. Volunteers from CIB maintain local flower beds and green spaces throughout Napanee.
