The Napanee Raiders have won games one and two of their Eastern Conference Final against the Clarington Eagles. This is the third time in four years the two teams have met in the finals.
Friday night at home, the Napanee Raiders were up 1-0 at the end of the first thanks to a goal by Alex Case. The second period saw goals by Michael Patrick and Ethan Boutilier to lead the Raiders to a 3-0 lead. Clarington scored once late in the third period to avoid the shutout for a 3-1 Raiders win! Logan Vale making 27 saves on 28 shots.
Sunday afternoon in Clarington, the Napanee Raiders were up 2-0 at the end of the first thanks to goals by Christos Chronis and Alex Case. Trent Williams scored the Raiders third of the night for a 3-0 lead at the end of the second. Clarington scored once in the third period for a 3-1 Raiders win! Logan Vale making 32 saves on 33 shots.
The Raiders are 13-4 so far in the playoffs and are leading the Eastern Conference Final against Clarington 2-0. The Clarington Eagles are now 12-2 in the playoffs, these two games being their first losses of the playoffs.
