A Toronto man is facing charges after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recovered more than $30,000 in stolen property during a traffic stop on Highway 7.
On Friday, April 11, 2025, just before 4:00 p.m., Lennox and Addington County OPP were alerted to a shoplifting incident at a drug store in Renfrew. Police were on the lookout for the suspect’s vehicle and found it travelling on Highway 7.
Officers pulled the vehicle over and spotted stolen items inside. The driver was arrested at the scene.
Andrei-Razvan Tulea, 29, of Toronto has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and theft under $5,000 for shoplifting.
Police confirmed they recovered over $30,000 worth of stolen goods from the vehicle.
Tulea was held in custody after a bail hearing in Greater Napanee.
