Expect delays on the 401 in the Kingston area. Eastbound Highway 401 between Montreal Street and Highway 15 is restricted to one lane. A transport left the road, went through the guard rail, landing into the Cataraqui River shortly after 3 p.m. . The driver reportedly swam to shore and is ok, but was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. The Ministry of the Environment is assisting with the containment and cleanup of the fuel. Any witness to the collision are asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
