The Lennox & Addington Dark Sky Viewing Area is now open to the public with physical distancing measures in place. Recently physical distancing circles were installed on the viewing platform and the surrounding grass area. The Viewing circles are six feet apart and allow for the set-up of a tripod, camera or telescope. Each circle is also large enough to fit two chairs for viewing pleasure and comfort.
In total, there are 8 white physical distancing circles painted on the concrete platform, with 7 additional circles spaced out on the surrounding grassy area.
You are asked to sanitize your hands when entering and exiting the Dark Sky Viewing Area, and consider wearing a face covering or cloth mask. At this time the portable restroom facilities remain closed at the site.
